At Jinhae Gunhangje,

the largest cherry blossom festival in Korea,

held from March 23rd to April 1st,

we were able to meet 'Smart Water Fountain'.

What is a Smart Water Fountain and

What role it play in the Gunhangje festival. 

 

[What is Smart Water Fountain (Water Friend)?]

'Smart Water Fountain' that made bluesen,

supplies water with stability by measuring water quality in real-time

so that users can drink fresh tap water safely. 

 

Smart Water Fountains are divided in to

a 'main model' equipped with a water quality analyzer

and a 'sub-model' without a water quality analyzer.

The water quality information measured in the main model

can be shared with multiple sub-water fountain

through a wireless network.

 

If a user comes close for drinking or using,

can check 5 methods of water quality in real time.

When a user is far away,

can see promotional effects

by sending videos

such as promotional videos

and campaigns in the installed area.

 

Smart Water Fountains

are currently installed at more than 200 public facilities nationwide,

including highway sleepy rest areas,

tap water love rooms, city halls,

and sports facilities,

as well as events such as the 2023 World Jamboree,

Daegu Colorful Festival,

and Gangwon World Forest Expo to provide clean water to citizens.

Smart Water Fountains were installed in Gunhangje festival,

It is said that the utilization rate was very high enough

to use it in a line due to a large crowd.

During this festival,

citizens can drink clean and fresh 'ChungAsu',

using Smart Water Fountains.

 

In Gunhangje,

a survey was also conducted on the spot

to check the effect of increasing satisfaction

and reliability of tap water

for about 140 citizens

who used the Smart Water Fountain.

After using a Smart Water Fountain,

98% and 99% of users answered 'helping improve tap water awareness' and

'positive for drinking tap water',

respectively, confirming that there was a positive improvement effect

and increased confidence in tap water awareness.
